Giants have second-easiest 2019 schedule based on winning percentage

It may be crazy to think about the New York Giants’ 2019 schedule when the league has yet to release it officially, but what we do already know is who each team will be playing when the regular season gets underway.

The Giants have a favorable overall schedule this upcoming season as their opponents have combined for the second-worst winning percentage in football (.473)

The Giants will, of course, have to play each of their division rivals at home and on the road. Big Blue will also take on the Green Bay Packers, Minnesota Vikings, Buffalo Bills, Miami Dolphins and Arizona Cardinals at home. The Giants’ road trips will include visits to the Chicago Bears, Detroit Lions, New England Patriots, New York Jets and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

What’s nice for the Giants is that the Cowboys are the only team in the league that will have to play both teams in this year’s Super Bowl.

But the NFC East should be expected to be competitive again as the Washington Redskins have the easiest schedule in the league (.469) and the Philadelphia Eagles are not far behind the Giants in terms of their opponents’ strength of schedule (.477).

There is plenty still to be determined roster-wise for both the Giants and their opponents, but for now, the Giants’ strength of schedule works in their favor heading into 2019.
