The New York Giants are in the process of going over final preparations ahead of the 2019 NFL Draft, but the question remains: will New York address the quarterback situation via the draft or trade in the coming weeks?
Sports Illustrated recently ranked the quarterback situations heading into 2019 and the Giants came in at 23rd on the rankings. Only Tennessee Titans, Chicago Bears, Buffalo Bills, Denver Broncos, Cincinnati Bengals, Buccaneers, Arizona Cardinals, Washington Redskins and Miami Dolphins ranked worse than Big Blue.

After all the smoke clears, something tells me Manning will validate some of the offseason moves made by general manager Dave Gettleman. The Giants can also take a massive leap on this list by drafting a potential successor.
General manager Dave Gettleman has defended Manning over and over this offseason, and it seems as though the team is willing to stick with Eli in 2019 and maybe even 2020.
Many have said Manning is done and Big Blue needs to move on, but it’s not out of the realm of possibility that the Giants offense could better without Manning feeling the pressure of having to get Odell Beckham Jr. the ball.
Last year, the Giants passed up on a supposed heavily talented quarterback class in favor of Rookie of the Year Saquon Barkley. Big Blue may do it again if they don’t believe in the quarterbacks in this year’s draft, and some believe next year’s expected quarterback class will be better than this year.
These rankings could change if the Giants were to draft a young quarterback in this year’s draft. The Giants have been talked about as landing spots for both Dwayne Haskins and Kyler Murray, which would certainly alter these rankings.
