Giants have no answers for Broncos, Teddy Bridgewater in 27-13 loss

By Dan Benton

The New York Giants welcomed both fans and the Denver Broncos back to MetLife Stadium on Sunday for the first regular season game of 2021.

As expected, it was a defensive battle early on with the Giants doing a bit more bending than Denver. The play-calling was suspect, the pass protection was less than stellar and Patrick Graham’s defense was unable to generate much pressure.

That trend continued into the second half — as did other negative trends from years past. Drops, turnovers, miscommunication, missed tackles…you name it.

In the end, the Broncos sent all those Giants fans home with their heads hanging.
