Giants’ Golden Tate gets crash course in Jersey living

Newly signed New York Giants wide receiver Golden Tate arrived in East Rutherford, New Jersey, this week for the start of the offseason workout program, and he quickly learned that his biggest adjustment may actually come away from the field.

Similar to most other athletes who live in Jersey for the first time, Tate came away surprised that attendants not only pump gas for you, but that it’s against the law for you to do it yourself.

A confused Tate hit Twitter for clarification.

Almost immediately, current and former Giants from across the country began to weigh in with an explanation and suggestions for Tate.

Realizing this was the norm, Tate then inquired about the appropriate tip, which former Giant Devon Kennard was also happy to explain to him.

Welcome to New Jersey, Showtime!
