Giants given 16/1 odds to win NFC East

The New York Giants have thrown Las Vegas oddsmakers for a loop over the previous two seasons, essentially tearing down their roster and rebuilding it completely.

Gone are Odell Beckham Jr., Landon Collins, Damon Harrison, Olivier Vernon and other superstars. In are young guns like Jabrill Peppers, Dexter Lawrence, B.J. Hill, Sam Beal and more.

The entire rebuild has been viewed as a rather unconventional approach, and as a result, Vegas isn’t putting much stock in the Giants here in 2019. In fact, they were recently given the lowest odds to win the NFC East courtesy of Bet Online.

Philadelphia Eagles 1/1
Dallas Cowboys 5/4
Washington Redskins 10/1
New York Giants 16/1

Not only were the Giants’ 16/1 odds the worst in the NFC East, they were among the worst divisional odds in all of football.

Only the Arizona Cardinals (25/1), Miami Dolphins (25/1) and Cincinnati Bengals (20/1) had worse odds. The Oakland Raiders were also listed at 16/1.

We’ll see how the lines move as the season draws nearer, but at no point will the Giants become sudden favorites. They need to reestablish trust in the eyes of the oddmarkers and fans alike.
