New York Giants fans have had a rough offseason, as they watched their team trade away all-world wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. to the Cleveland Browns for not much in return.
So they were waiting for this year’s NFL draft to see what the team had in store for them and the franchise. What would they do to make things right?
Well, with the sixth pick in Thursday night’s first round in Nashville, the team opted to go with Duke quarterback Daniel Jones.
And the internet laughed at them.
While Jones doesn’t seem to be an awful pick, fans watching at MetLife immediately voiced their displeasure with boos and utter disbelief:
Not a great time to be a Giants fan. But who knows, maybe Jones will be the guy to lead them back to their winning ways once Eli Manning is done.
