Giants’ Evan Engram the top fantasy TE after three weeks

Most fantasy football aficionados predicted that New York Giants tight end Evan Engram would join the likes of the Chiefs’ Travis Kelce and Zach Ertz of the Eagles as one of the premier players at his position the season.

After three weeks, Engram has not only joined that group, he’s the leading tight end in both DraftKings and FanDuel’s rankings.

Engram (23 receptions for 277 yards and two TDs) leads all tight ends in points on DraftKings (22.9 points per game) and FanDuel (17.1) and is tied for targets per game with Ertz (10), second to Kelce in yards per game (92.3) and second in receptions per game (7.7) behind Oakland’s Darren Waller.

Engram’s prospects are on the uptick. He rumbled for a 75-yard touchdown last week in Tampa, which was the longest ever by a Giants tight end. The previous long was a 71-yarder not by Mark Bavaro or Jeremy Shockey but by another No. 88, Aaron Thomas, who did it against Philadelphia on Oct. 17, 1965.

With Jones now under center and Saquon Barkley out for four to eight weeks with an ankle injury, Engram is now the top playmaker in the Giants’ offensive arsenal.
