The New York Giants selected Oregon guard Shane Lemieux with the 150th pick in the fifth round of the 2020 NFL Draft on Saturday.
Here are five things to know about Lemieux:

Combine results
Lemieux (6’4″, 310) ran a 5.11 40 and had a 4.9 second 20-yard shuttle at the NFL Combine in February.

Health and consistency
Lemieux is a steady performer, starting all 52 games of his four-year career at Oregon.

Second team All-American
He was voted second-team All-Pac-12 in 2018 and 2019 and an Associated Press second team All-American for his play last year.

Pro comp: Laken Tomlinson
NFL.com’s Lance Zierlein compares Lemieux to the 49ers’ Laken Tomlinson:
Barrel-chested grinder with the toughness and power to play brute ball in the trenches. Lemieux is well-known for his toughness and intelligence. He’s an experienced, well-schooled guard. He’s athletic enough to perform in a variety of run schemes, but does his best work with combo blocks and double teams.

High on PFF’s board
Pro Football Focus ranked Lemieux the No. 3 guard in this class:
The 6-foot-4, 316-pound Lemieux is feisty as a run-blocker. In pass protection, though, he’s got a lot to work on. His punch was our biggest concern and continuously got worse over the course of the 2019 season. On top of that, his base gets way too wide, which kills his change of direction. All in all, he posted an abysmal 41.1 pass-blocking grade on true pass sets.
