Giants’ DeAndre Baker has bond set at $200,000

New York Giants cornerback DeAndre Baker made his first court appearance on Sunday morning after spending Saturday night in Broward County Main Jail in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

After hearing from the attorney’s of both Baker and Seattle Seahawks cornerback Quinton Dunbar, the judge set their bond at $25,000 per charge.

In the case of Dunbar, that totaled $100,000. For Baker, who is facing four counts of armed robbery with a firearm and four counts of aggravated assault with a firearm, the bond totaled $200,000.

In addition to the $200,000 bond, Baker was ordered to surrender his concealed carry permit, as well as any firearms and ammunition he owns within 48 hours.

Further, it was mandated that Baker remain in the state of Florida, although that ruling can be modified in the event the Giants open team facilities in East Rutherford, New Jersey and Baker is required to return for work.

Finally, Baker has been ordered to refrain from any communication with the alleged victims or witnesses.

The State had requested Baker remain held on no bond. The State can also file a motion to have him held and not released prior to first trial date.
