Giants’ Daniel Jones exits Bengals game with injury

New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones exited Sunday’s game against the Cincinnati Bengals with what looked to be a right hamstring injury.

Jones suffered the injury on a short run midway through the third quarter. It appeared as if he took a knee to the thigh, but he went down to the turf one play later grabbing his left hamstring.

Trainers rushed out to check on Jones, who popped up shortly thereafter and walked off the field under his own power.

Jones was replaced by backup quarterback Colt McCoy, who threw a near interception on just his second pass.

As the Giants connected on Graham Gano’s second field goal of the game, Jones remained in the medical tent being examined my team doctors.

After the Giants defense held Cincinnati to a three-and-out, Jones returned on the ensuing offensive series but was still noticeably limping. After two plays, he was again taken out of the game.
