Giants currently slated to select fourth overall in 2020 NFL Draft

The New York Giants knew a victory over the Washington Redskins would come at a potential cost, and it did.

Whether or not you, as fans, agree with the team playing to win a meaningless Week 16 game, that’s how the cookie crumbled and as a result, the Giants slid from No. 2 overall in the 2020 NFL Draft to No. 4 overall.

The good news? Even with the win, the Giants are 100 percent guaranteed to land a top 5 pick with the possibility remaining that they could slide back into a higher spot.

The Cincinnati Bengals are already on the clock, having wrapped up the No. 1 overall pick, but after that, there are still quite a few dominoes left to fall.

Here’s how the draft order stacks up entering Week 17:

  1. Cincinnati Bengals
  2. Washington Redskins
  3. Detroit Lions
  4. New York Giants
  5. Miami Dolphins
  6. Jacksonville Jaguars
  7. Los Angeles Chargers
  8. Carolina Panthers
  9. Arizona Cardinals
  10. New York Jets

Even with a prime draft spot slipping away, the Giants maintain they aren’t going to tank down the stretch and will look to win their third consecutive game on Sunday, this one coming against the Philadelphia Eagles.
