Giants continue their slide in the latest USA TODAY power rankings

The New York Giants have enjoyed a roller coaster-like ride in the USA TODAY power rankings over the last several weeks, bouncing all over the place seemingly at random.

However, a 27-21 loss to the Arizona Cardinals in Week 7 doomed them in the latest edition, where USA TODAY has Big Blue falling two spots to No. 27 overall.

Additionally, USA TODAY took this opportunity to take a not-so-subtle jab at the ridiculous New York media.

Now Pat Shurmur is fielding questions about possibly benching rookie QB Daniel Jones. Never change, New York media.

Comparatively, the Washington Redskins remained in place at No. 30 overall, while the Philadelphia Eagles fell six spots to No. 17 overall as the Dallas Cowboys climbed four spots to No. 15 overall.

Meanwhile, after “seeing ghosts” against the No. 1 ranked New England Patriots, Sam Darnold and the New York Jets fell one spot to No. 28 overall, one spot below the Giants.

The 0-6 Miami Dolphins remain at No. 32 overall, but the Cincinnati Bengals are beginning to put up a strong challenge for that spot.
