Giants’ Cody Latimer out vs. Buccaneers, Bennie Fowler questionable

With Daniel Jones taking over under center for the first time on Sunday against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the New York Giants really need all the healthy bodies they can get in order to provide some level of comfort for the rookie.

The good news? Wide receiver Sterling Shepard has cleared concussion protocol and was a full participant in practice on both Thursday and Friday.

The bad news? Wide receivers Cody Latimer (concussion) and Bennie Fowler (hamstring) continue to deal with their respective issues. Ditto wide receiver Darius Slayton (groin/hamstring).

Meanwhile, right guard Kevin Zeitler (shoulder) continues to battle through issues — of course he has — while tight end Garrett Dickerson (quad) has also made some encouraging strides.

Here’s the full injury report:

Out: WR Cody Latimer (concussion)

Questionable: WR Bennie Fowler (hamstring)

Expected to play: CB Grant Haley (illness), WR Sterling Shepard (concussion), WR Darius Slayton (groin/hamstring), OL Kevin Zeitler (shoulder), TE Garrett Dickerson (quad).
