Giants claim LB Tuzar Skipper off of waivers from Steelers

The New York Giants have claimed linebacker Tuzar Skipper off of waivers from the Pittsburgh Steelers, once again bringing their roster to a full 53 men.

Skipper was signed by the Steelers as an undrafted free agent out of Toledo in April and earned his way onto their initial 53-man roster with an impressive preseason that included five sacks, seven pressures and two forced fumbles.

The 6-foot-3, 246-pound Skipper will likely see most of his time on special teams while also serving as a depth linebacker. It’s a similar role to that of Nate Stupar, whom the Giants released last week.
