Giants-Browns flexed to Sunday night in Week 15

The New York Giants had four 1:00 p.m. ET games remaining on their schedule this year, but winning football has a way of changing things.

With the Giants currently leading the NFC East and on a roll, the league has decided that their Week 15 game against the Cleveland Browns deserves a national audience even without the presence of Odell Beckham Jr. Accordingly, it has been flexed to Sunday night on NBC.

The 9-3 Browns also find themselves just two games out of first place in the AFC North behind the Pittsburgh Steelers (11-1).

The Dallas Cowboys and San Francisco 49ers were originally slated for that Sunday Night Football game, but the mediocre 49ers, who drubbed the Giants earlier this season, and losing Cowboys just aren’t a big draw at the moment.

It’s another “L” for Jerry Jones, who has taken far more than he’s expected this season.

With the Giants and Browns now on Sunday night, New York’s remaining schedule breaks down as follows:

  • Dec. 13 – vs. Arizona Cardinals – 1:00 p.m.
  • Dec. 20 – vs. Cleveland Browns – 8:20 p.m.
  • Dec. 27 – at Baltimore Ravens – 1:00 p.m.
  • Jan. 3 – vs. Dallas Cowboys – 1:00 p.m.

Depending on how things shake out in the coming weeks, it’s entirely possible that the Week 17 game between the Giants and Cowboys also gets flexed — especially if New York ends up in a “win and in” scenario.
