Giants-Bears preseason Week 2: Offense, defense and special teams snap counts

The New York Giants improved to 2-0 on the preseason with a 32-13 victory over the Chicago Bears at MetLife Stadium on Friday night.

As expected, running back Saquon Barkley, tight end Evan Engram and wide receiver Sterling Shepard did not play in the game, but many of the other starters did and saw at least a series or two.

In the second half, the remaining roster was shuffled into the mix and the snaps broke down as follows:

The Giants took an extensive look at offensive lineman Victor Salako in Week 2, which was nearly matched by defensive back Julian Love on the other side of the ball.

In his return to the field, cornerback Grant Haley also received quite a bit of work, while fullback Eli Penny appears to be getting phased out. He saw just four offensive snaps on Friday night and that does not bode well for his shot at the 53-man roster.
