Giants’ Andrew Thomas focused on adding strength, mobility this offseason

New York Giants All-Pro left tackle Andrew Thomas is looking forward to another season of growth and productivity.

Heading into his fourth season with the Giants, Thomas has been improving each year and is now considered one of the top players at his position. Some would argue he is the best.

The Giants are expecting Thomas to continue to assume a leadership role again this year and he is prepared to oblige.

Thomas has been building up his skillset and his physical frame each offseason since he was selected fourth overall in the 2020 NFL draft. This year is no different. He has been working out vigorously to get bigger and stronger, and stay healthy for an entire season.

The former Georgia star is on his way to becoming a staple for the Giants and now the team is concerned about his counterpart on the other side of the offensive line, Evan Neal, who was selected seventh overall out of Alabama last spring.

Thomas is playing a role in Neal’s development.

The Giants’ offensive line has been the bane of the fans’ existence the past decade, the ‘poster child’ for the franchise’s failures over that period. Thomas wants to change that perception.

If Thomas continues to age like a fine wine, there’s no telling where he will end up. But the Giants sure hope to find out.
