The 2020 season is still a long way off but the New York Giants are already being predicted to be one of the favorites to land the No. 1 overall selection in next year’s NFL Draft.
Not sure why anyone would even post such a prediction knowing that the NFL is the one league where teams go from worst to first in a single season more often than in any other sport.
The Giants have changed coaching staffs and had another very strong offseason. No one really knows what quite to make of the Giants. The predictions are all over the map want many having them winning as many as 10 games in 2020.
In Walter Football’s 2021 mock draft, the Giants are selecting 20th. Draftsite.com has them picking 10th and CBS Sports has Big Blue selecting 6th.
The wort case scenario would have them drafting at the top of the draft. There will be quarterbacks to be had (Trevor Lawrence, Justin Fields) and the picks will be extremely sought after, if not kept by the teams who land in those slots.
The question is… if the Giants do land the No. 1 overall pick, do they take Trevor Lawrence? It would all depend on what Daniel Jones shows us in 2020.
