Giants’ Adoree’ Jackson leaves joint practice with Patriots on a cart

New York Giants cornerback Adoree’ Jackson was carted off the field at the conclusion of the team’s joint practice with the New England Patriots in Foxborough on Wednesday.

Jackson went down during the final stages of the practice and immediately reached for his left ankle/foot. He initially limped off the field and was seen being worked on by trainers, who had taken his cleat and sock off.

Jackson was a bit-ticket free agent pickup this offseason, signing a three-year, $39 million contract with the Giants with $26.5 million of that guaranteed.

The former first-round pick of the Tennessee Titans out of USC was released by the club before free agency began to avoid paying him the guaranteed fifth-year option money of $8 million for 2021.

The Giants inked Jackson to compliment Pro Bowler James Bradberry this year, adding speed and playmaking ability on both sides of the field.

Should Jackson be out any period of time, the Giants have several options such as second-year player Darnay Holmes, rookie Rodarius Williams and veterans Josh Jackson, Keion Crossen, Sam Beal and Madre Harper.

Aaron Robinson, the team’s third round selection in this year’s NFL draft, is currently on the physically unable to perform (PUP) list.
