A huge new sculpture is being erected in Leeds Art Gallery to reflect the impressive heritage of the museum's Central Court.
The space was uncovered in 2017 after being hidden for 40 years, with an impressive glass-domed roof revealed.
Turkish artist Ayşe Erkmen has been commissioned to create the very first sculpture specifically designed for the room on the top floor of the gallery in Leeds city centre.
Named 'three of four', the video above shows how the aluminium structure mimics the roof, which allows light to pour into the space.
Jane Bhoyroo, producer of the Yorkshire Sculpture International, said: "We are so delighted to commission Ayşe Erkmen for one of the major new works for Yorkshire Sculpture International 2019.
"'three of four' reflects the history of this room by referencing the wonderful barrel-vaulted roof which was revealed during the renovation of the gallery in 2017.
"It's called 'three of four' because the sculpture replicates the ceiling above, but only in three parts."
The Yorkshire Sculpture International festival runs from Saturday, June 22 until Sunday, September 29 and features works from a number of internationally-acclaimed artists, .
Other venues showcasing sculptures throughout the festival include Briggate, Victoria Leeds and Yorkshire Sculpture Park.
