Giant saltire spotted in the sky as Scotland beat Serbia in epic UEFA Euro match

A giant saltire was spotted in the sky ahead of Scotland beating Serbia in an epic match.

The huge cross was discovered this afternoon by Jen O'Rourke in Renfrew.

A mystery pilot predicted victory in the sky after drawing the iconic Scots symbol before the Scotland Team won their game.

The Tartan Army grabbed their first major victory since 1998.

The Scotland team took the win for the UEFA Euro 2020 final playoff in a penalty shoot out.

Ryan Christie had netted a goal earlier in the game but Serbia equalised in the last minute.

Steve Clarke 's side were one game away from immortality and ended a nightmare spell on the international scene.

First Minister Nicola Sturgeon is also celebrating the goal tweeting a series of Scottish flags after the goal as she watched the nail biting game.

Earlier she sent rallying message on social media wishing manager Steve Clarke and his players 'the best of luck'.

Sturgeon reminded them Scots are 'willing them on' as they faced kick off this evening.
