Giant message appears on slag heap declaring 'Get Mogg Out'

'Get Mogg Out.'

That is what is plastered on a huge slag heap which is towering over Midsomer Norton.

The giant sign appeared at the end of last week, reflecting the views of some constituents towards the divisive MP.

It is not yet known who is the behind this creation, which has been written on the top of the mound of waste soil, reports Somerset Live.

Everything you need to know about Jacob Rees-Mogg

Mr Boraston, who tweeted the photo, confirmed he was not behind the damning message.

The picture has since been shared on Facebook in a number of local community groups - and the reaction has been mixed.

One man wrote: "Desperate times.. probably the Lib Dems. Their tactics are embarrassing! With their fake polls, constant lies and rubbish through the door! Everyone vote Mogg to stay!"

And another said: "These people need to get jobs, way too much time on their hands."

While on Twitter someone wrote: "Well done. It can't have been easy."

Where is Mr Rees-Mogg?

Jacob Rees-Mogg has been noticeably absent during the election campaign following his controversial comments about the victims of the Grenfell fire.

Last month, Mr Rees-Mogg told LBC in an interview that those who died could have saved themselves if they had used “common sense” and fled the burning tower block.

After intense criticism, Mr Rees-Mogg apologised but the Grenfell survivors rejected his apology.

Since then he has not been spotted on any mainstream media channels.

His absence was so conspicuous that a journalist went on the hunt to find the Conservative candidate for North East Somerset.

However, yesterday (December 2), Mr Rees-Mogg unleashed his campaign video on social media to answer the question on everyone's lips - where is Jacob Rees-Mogg.

He appeared in a field in Stanton Drew at the site of the Stanton Drew Circles and cove.

In the video Mr Rees-Mogg says he wants to get Stanton Drew out of the common market and that we must "get Brexit done".

He said: “I'm here by the standing stones in Stanton Drew, thought to be 4,500 years old, some of the most important stones in this country.

“And I want to get the Common Market out of Stanton Drew.

“We must get Brexit done. Only the Conservatives can do that - a majority Conservative Government can get out of the European Union and make Brexit happen by January 31.

“Please vote Conservative and get the Common Market out of Stanton Drew.”
