Giant low-flying aircraft spotted doing large circuits over Leeds

A giant, low-flying aircraft has been doing circuits across Leeds this morning.

A resident took these pictures from his garden in Horsforth and was surprised to see the craft flying so low.

He said it is an RAF Airbus from Brize Norton, which often fly over the city but never usually this low.

He said: "They fly over quite often but it is really low today. It is just nice to see an aircraft flying over us again."

It is thought the plane - Airbus A400M - came from RAF Brize Norton.

It is not a surprise to see the state-of-the-art aircraft round these parts as the RAF has a deal with Leeds Bradford Airport that allows them to use the airport for training.
