LUCKNOW: UP BJP chief Swatantra Dev Singh on Saturday said, the hallmark of four-andhalf years of BJP rule was fulfilment of people’s aspirations and a mammoth makeover of the state.
Singh said, historical decisions were taken for welfare of every section of society, including villagers, poor, farmers, backward, Dalit, youth and women.
He said, the government fulfilled every promise it made to the people in 2017 through BJP’s ‘sankalp patra’, citing the farm loan waiver decision taken in the first cabinet meeting. Singh said, mafia and their political masters are jolted by the government’s crackdown.
He said, parties doing politics in the name of farmers had grabbed their land, whereas the BJP government led by PM Narendra Modi and CM Yogi Adityantah has so far deposited Rs 2 lakh crore in account of farmers in the form of payment of wheat-paddy MSP, kisan samman nidhi and investments in social security. “UP, which was once touted as most backward, is ahead of all states in implementation of central schemes. Housing, electricity, roads, toilets, cooking gas to ration are available to all,” he added.
In previous SP and BSP regimes, investors did not come to UP, but in the Yogi government, investment schemes of more than Rs 3 lakh crore are getting off the ground. “In previous governments, government jobs were a trickle due to nepotism. Now, over 4 lakh youths have got jobs with complete transparency,” he said.
