Giannis Antetokounmpo takes shot at Celtics by complimenting Raptors

The Milwaukee Bucks sent the Boston Celtics into the off-season sooner than initially anticipated. As much as the 2018-19 regular season didn’t go as expected for the Celtics, the roster was still filled with talent — which may have been the teams ultimate undoing. Plus, the C’s had seemingly flipped the switch, having blown past the Indiana Pacers in the first round of the NBA Playoffs. Although the Pacers were without their superstar Victor Oladipo, Indy was still a quality opponent the Celtics managed to blow out in four games.

And that carried into the Eastern Conference Semifinals matchup with Milwaukee. Well, it did for a short while, at least.

After the Celtics stole Game 1 in Milwaukee, it appeared Boston was going to upset the Eastern Conference’s top-seed. Things quickly shifted after Milwaukee responded with a decisive win in Game 2, then cruised through the rest of the series.

Apparently, the Bucks were never too worried in the Eastern Conference Semifinals. At least, that’s how it seems based on Giannis Antetokounmpo’s recent comments about the difference between the Celtics and the Raptors, per Malika Andrews of ESPN:

Against Boston, you can go down 1-0 and still be fine; but against Toronto, it’s hard to be in that spot when you lose the first game in your home.

Tough look for Boston, who’ll have to wait for next season to respond.
