Giannis Antetokounmpo’s comment about the Celtics set Boston Twitter ablaze

Giannis Antetokounmpo may have accidentally dunked on the Boston Celtics while they were down.

Ahead of Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals between Milwaukee and Toronto, The Greek Freak said that the Raptors were not the type of team which the Bucks could allow to take a 1-0 series lead. The Celtics, meanwhile, are another story, he said.

Of course, Antetokounmpo is probably right: the Celtics are a worse team, and Kawhi Leonard and the Raptors are coming off a strong performance in their seven-game playoff series against the Philadelphia 76ers. Antetokounmpo didn’t seem like he meant to throw shade at the Celtics — but some Celtics fans and media members definitely interpreted it as such.

Here’s Boston’s reaction.
