Ghosts of 'wee grannies walking up road with rain mates on' spotted in Partick

Back in November we weren't the only ones seriously spooked by the mysterious ghost figure spotted on camera haunting an abandoned Victorian train platform underneath Glasgow Central Station.

The scary spectre appeared in a selfie taken by guide Paul Lyons, who runs the hugely popular behind-the-scenes tours at the station.

Now it seems we might have another unexplained apparition on our hands that has given us the heebie-jeebies, spotted in a place populated by 'spirits' of a different kind in the form of those downed by punters in Partick pubs.

The photo of the 'ghost' is in fact of a pair of ghosts who look like "wee grannies walking up the road with their rain mates on" according to one local.

The snap was taken by a resident while looking out their window at the bottom of Apsley Street off Dumbarton Road, with the pair of grannies appearing to be walking up the middle of the road in between two cars outside Apsley Street Surgery.

The apparitions caused a bit of a stir on being noticed by a few folk after a handful of photos were posted to Facebook group People of Partick concerning a police incident which took place on the street.

One person on spotting it posed the question, "What's that shadow thing between the blue and red car?", while another said they were 'given the creeps' after also seeing the ghostly figures. And they were joined by another local who wrote: "Weird AF".
