Sam and Molly are walking back from dinner one night, when they are mugged. Sam is murdered on the dark New York street, and is left trapped as a ghost between this world and the next. But Molly is still in great danger, and with the help of a would-be psychic, Sam tries to help her out.
Rob Mills, Jemma Rix, Alex Rathgeber and Wendy Mae Brown star in Ghost the Musical, directed by Matthew Warchus. Mills plays Sam Wheat and Rix is Molly Hensen, the roles made famous by Patrick Swayze and Demi Moore in the 1990 film.
The musical, based on the film, premiered in Manchester in 2011, with original music and lyrics by Dave Stewart and Glen Ballard, and featuring the iconic Unchained Melody. The musical also played in London’s West End, on Broadway and now, opens in Australia.
