Ghost, demon, or squatter? Man spots something watching him through blinds of empty house but TikTok can’t decide what it is

A man has shared a very creepy clip of what may well be a haunted house on TikTok. The spooky footage has people stumped as it appears to show a figure peaking through the blinds behind a window. The scary part is that the man recording insists that he checked the property and it was empty and has been for the past three years.

“Craigieboy” (we’ll just call him Craig), posted the clip earlier this month along with a lengthy explanation in which he informed viewers that the property belonged to his wife’s grandmother but that “she had not lived there for at least three years.” Craig had been working on the property and had just finished for the day when he noticed someone or something moving the blinds.

He initially thought it to be the wind until he saw it again, at this point he got his phone out to capture the strange phenomenon and what he caught on camera likely sent shivers down his spine.

#spooky #ghost #freaky #fyp #foryou this was my wife’s grandmother’s place I had just finished working on. On my very last day there, as I was leaving, something caught my eye. The blinds… they moved. At first, I thought maybe it was just the wind, but then I saw it again. I grabbed my phone and hit what I thought was record but I only ended up catching a live picture. What I caught still gives me chills—clear as day, you can see what looks like fingers curling around the blinds… and behind them, the outline of a face staring right back at me. The terrifying part? The house was completely empty. No furniture, no one living there. I even went back inside and you can clearly see fingerprints on the inside of the blinds where the dust was from where I’ve been sanding down drywall —heart pounding I pulled the ladder Back out from the shop and searched the loft, every closet, every room, corner to corner. Nothing. Not a single sign of anyone. Yet if you closely it truly looks like fingers. Well it does to me! @✨ T@✨ Taytay ✨i@Maisie Smith

While he wasn’t able to record a video he did snap a live photo and in the brief few seconds of footage we can see the blinds parted by what appears to be a hand. Zooming in on the clip and it almost looks like there may even be a face hiding in the darkness.

The people of TikTok aren’t sure what to think

While it sure is a creepy video with an equally spooky explanation to go along with it, let’s be honest, that could really be anything. While we shouldn’t rush to rule out the possibility of it being a ghost, there are plenty of more reasonable possibilities.

“That’s definitely a squatter. It doesn’t look like a ghost at all.” One viewer commented, another person added that it was “for sure someone squatting.” Of course, if it was a squatter then surely Craig would have found someone in the house when he searched it. Some viewers recommended he check any crawl spaces, but he probably wouldn’t want to do that alone, after all, anything can be hiding in a crawlspace.

A couple of people on TikTok even suggested that it wasn’t a ghost, but rather a fully-fledged demon, “Looks like a demon attachment,” One person wrote, “I’m assuming that the grandma passed on and the demon has no place to go.”

In a follow up video Craig gives more detail and explains why he’s certain it’s not a squatter. He claims that he had been working on the property for around 2-3 months and that it was the last day working there. The place had apparently been completely emptied meaning there weren’t many places for a person to hide. He also denied it was AI like some viewers speculated.

He also checked the attic and yet again, found no evidence of a person in the property. However, he claims that lots of weird things went down while he was working there and has promised to share his stories with TikTok in the future.
