Ghost appears in background of innocent snap encouraging owners to clean up after their dogs

A harmless picture taken to raise awareness over ‘dog mess’ on the streets has triggered a paranormal stir online.

Jason Wayne Parry arranged for his picture to be taken on a housing estate in a bid to highlight the problem.

The town councillor for Caernarfon, Wales, posted the picture on Facebook to raise the issue with locals.

He was able to spark a debate over social media, but it was perhaps not in a way that he imagined.

Some people claimed to see a mysterious ‘ ghostly ’ figure stating in the window of one of the homes in the background of the image.

When the discovery was brought to the attention of the Welshman , he decided to do a little bit of digging.

Cllr Parry, who is also the owner of a barbers in the town, told North Wales Live : "I was putting up signs warning against dog fouling in the area to bring attention to the problem we have in the estate.

“When I do jobs like that, I like to take a photo and share it on my Facebook page to let people know what's being done.

“I was leaving work the other day and someone ran up to me and asked if I had noticed anything strange about the photo I'd put up.

“She had said it was her friend's home in the background of the photo and while they were looking at it, they noticed something unusual in the window.”

The councillor then reached out for help from a friend who works as a TV editor to help shed a bit of light on the mystery.

It was only when the images were enhanced that Cllr Parry said that the mystery started to ‘become obvious’.

He then sent the doctored image to the resident at the address who then posted it online .

There has since been a flurry of speculation as to whether of not there is actually anything at the window.

Some have claimed to see a woman while others have suggested that there is a little girl peering out.

People with less of a colourful imagination have dismissed it as a simple optical illusion .

Cllr Parry has now spoken to the resident who has revealed that there was no one at the window at the time of the photo being taken.
