Ghetto Golf van ends up on its roof and 'abandoned' in field

A Ghetto Golf van has been spotted on its roof 'abandoned' in a field in Liverpool.

The Ford van appeared on Friday morning and has prompted much speculation from passersby.

Several theories are emerging as to why the black and white, mini-bus type van has been abandoned in the Baltic Triangle.

Photos of the van, which has 'Ghetto' as its reg plate, show it seemingly abandoned on grassland on St James Street.

The van, which is completely flipped on to its roof, doesn't appear to have any other damage to it.

It is understood that no reports have been made to Merseyside Police in regards to the van.

After spotting the van many have taken to Twitter to ask Ghetto Golf what has happened.

Kate Reilly James wrote on Twitter: "Ey Ghetto Golf, you okay hun?"

While another theory suggested the van was taken after joy-riders had their fun with it.

One man emailed the ECHO after spotting the bizarre sight and said: "I have just seen a van that has been rolled over in the Baltic, looks like it belongs to Ghetto Golf and someone has had a bit of a joy ride."

The owners of Ghetto Golf, a crazy golf venue, on Stanhope Street, even chipped in with the speculation on Twitter.

Responding to Kate Reilly James they wrote: "We're OK thanks @katereillyjames it must have been windy for those joy riders, thanks for tracking down our van."

Cyberfrog design tweeted: "Clever bit of advertising, or is it really windy out there?"

To which Ghetto Golf responded: "Must have been windy for those joy riders on Jamaica Street, thanks for tracking down our van."

Earlier in the day Ghetto Golf Liverpool made it known that their van had 'vanished' and asked people on Twitter to look out for it.

They tweeted: "Ahhh, unbelievable, our van has disappeared.

"See the pic, it's hard to miss. Can you help us recover it? #missingGhettoGolfVan."

The real reason why the van is on its roof in the field has yet to be disclosed.
