Romania legend Gheorghe Hagi reckons he's now more famous as Ianis' Dad than for his playing exploits.
And the former Barcelona and Real Madrid star has tipped his son to make a move to a "really big club".
Hagi junior made his Ibrox deal permanent at the end of last month in a £3m deal from Belgian side Genk.
And his father reckons fans have forgotten about his many iconic moments as a player.
He said: "Apparently, I am better known now as Ianis' father!
"I have had kids come up to me and ask for a picture because I am the father of Ianis. They don't know who I am.But I must admit I do get very emotional when I see him play for our country.
"When he was a child, he always had a ball with him. Since he was born in Turkey when I was at Galatasaray, he was very often at the training sessions there.
"Becoming a footballer was his greatest wish.
"I don't get involved in his future as a footballer - I leave that entirely up to him. For example, he decided to sign for Genk, all I can do is advise him, but in the end, every decision he makes is his own.
"He's now at Rangers with Steven Gerrard and that will help him with his development.
"Hopefully, one day there will be really big clubs fighting to sign him."
