And, 300 descendants of Ethiopian Jews have landed in Israel after fleeing the war in their homeland. The new arrivals received a rousing welcome but the more established Ethiopian-Israeli community warn of discrimination and abuse. Finally, some 10 million people with disabilities live in DR Congo. Most get no government support but a bill aims to up the community's visibility in public life.
