'Getting relegated' Manchester United fans verdict on Newcastle United after 4-1 victory

Manchester United fans have delivered a scathing assessment on Newcastle United after their 4-1 victory on Saturday.

The Magpies took an early lead through Luke Shaw's own goal but were quickly pegged back by Harry Maguire's header.

Three goals in the final five minutes from Bruno Fernandes, Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Marcus Rashford made sure of the point, with Fernandes also seeing a penalty saved by Karl Darlow.

In truth, the late goals were vindication for a dominant second-half performance from Manchester United, with Newcastle struggling to lay a glove on a team coming off the back of a 6-1 defeat to Tottenham before the international break.

Given Manchester United's frailties in defence, Newcastle struggled to put enough pressure on a side that had leaked 11 goals in three Premier League outings prior to the match at St James' Park.

That took Manchester United fans by surprise, let alone those on Tyneside hoping for an upset.

It led to a pretty damning review from the on watching away supporters across social media.

Newcastle take on Wolves next Sunday, hoping to bounce back and move up the table from 11th place.
