'Getting better and better' - how Nottingham Forest ace is feeling the love after Derby display

Tiago Silva caught the eye with an impressive display for Nottingham Forest against their bitter rivals at the weekend.

And Reds fans are loving the Portuguese ace!

Silva put in a sparkling display for Sabri Lamouchi’s men on Saturday as they toppled Derby County 1-0 at the City Ground.

A video clip of one particular piece of skill by the midfielder went down a storm on social media, with the Forest man brilliantly getting the better of defender Jayden Bogle.

That was Silva’s 18th appearance in the Garibaldi since making the move from Feirense in July, as Lamouchi’s first new addition.

He has one goal to his name so far - having bagged the winner against Fleetwood Town in the Carabao Cup back in August.

But Reds supporters seem to be excited about how much more there is to come from the 26-year-old in what is hoped will be a promotion push this season.

Here’s what they’ve been saying about Silva and his performance against Derby, on Facebook.

Joel Hodgkinson: “Best player on the pitch (on Saturday). Works hard, great in the tackle and his passing is quality. What a signing he’s turning out to be.”

Darren Weston: “Fantastic. Not just a neat and tidy footballer. He's driving the team and works his socks off.”

Chris Cooper: “He had his best game yet in my opinion. He even tracked back and tackled too.”

Richard Power: “When he gets stuck in like he did (on Saturday) there is no contest. Best player on the pitch by a mile. I think Yates’ future is at centre-back or as Watson’s replacement. Both him and Worrall are great but they need to calm down.”

Freddie Klein: “I was surprised he didn't get the man of the match, his work rate was top notch.”

Jordan-Lee Unwin: “He played absolute class!”

Philip Hardy: “Silva is just getting better and better. He deserves that number 10 position.”

Gary Towlson: “Settling in nicely. Dare I say more so than Carvalho.”

Matt Dixon: “Think we are seeing the best of him now he's got used to Championship football and getting a run in the side.”
