Queensland police have charged a man who allegedly acted as a getaway driver for a prisoner who escaped after head-butting an officer.
Clayton Alvoen appeared in court on domestic violence, drug and assault charges on Wednesday.
He was being moved from court to the police watch house in the town of Warwick when he headbutted the officer and ran towards a car parked nearby.
The 28-year-old was driven to bushland just outside the town, west of Brisbane, and is yet to be found.
On Friday, police charged a Gold Coast man with aiding a person to escape lawful. The 26-year-old will face the Warwick Magistrates Court on May 26.
Police are continuing their investigations into two women who were also in the getaway car.
They have repeated appeals for Alvoen to turn himself in.
Police had to swoop to ensure the safety of his accusers after he escaped.
Alvoen has a fair complexion, is about 180cm tall with a slim build, black hair and brown eyes.
The officer who was headbutted was treated for a cut to his face at Warwick Hospital.
