And you can join up with our sponsors and finalists at the annual event which this year has moved to a new home - Millennium Point in Birmingham.

The building, which sits on the doorstep of the new HS2 station in Curzon Street, is famous for its Thinktank science museum which is popular with schools and families and offers visitors the chance to explore science, education and technology.

In a break from the traditional awards format, our event will kick off with a street food market before heading into Millennium Point's impressive former IMAX cinema to reveal the winners.

This year's awards is being run by BirminghamLive and CoventryLive in association with BusinessLive.

We are delighted to welcome Coventry-based IT services consultancy Kagool as our headline sponsor and fintech firm Delta Financial Systems and law practice Mills & Reeve as category sponsors.

This year, we will be handing out ten different categories including three separate awards for businesses at different stages of their journeys.

Our judging panel was chaired by BirminghamLive editor Graeme Brown who was joined by Emma Jackson from Mills & Reeve, James Slevin from Delta Financial Systems, Sarah Dowzell from Natural HR, who won our West Midlands Woman in Tech Award in 2019, and Anil Baddela and Clare Golby from our headline sponsor Kagool.

Midlands business editor Tamlyn Jones said: "We are all really looking forward to our annual tech awards and welcoming guests to Millennium Point for the first time.

"Our finalists have certainly earned their places on the 2022 shortlist by once again showing their endeavour, innovation and fortitude in the face of a tough old time for the business world.

"The evening promises to be a wonderful celebration of all that is great about the West Midlands' vibrant tech community."
