Get the glad rags out to mark what should have been Ladies Day at Perth Racecourse

Perthshire residents are being asked to get their glad rags on to mark what should have been Ladies Day at Perth Racecourse.

The extravaganza - which attracts punters from all over the country - would have been this Thursday if not for the COVID-19 pandemic.

But bosses at the racecourse are refusing to let that fact go unnoticed this week when two race fixtures are scheduled.

And a virtual best dressed competition has been organised to give people an excuse to dress up to the nines.

The team at Perth have challenged all lovers of the Scone venue to enter into the spirit of the day and take part in the special competition by posting a picture of them looking “Ladies Day glam” - for a chance to win four grandstand tickets to 2022 Ladies Day.

It is simple to enter – all people need to do is post a picture of themselves dressed up for Ladies Day on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram on Thursday, May 13, tagging @perthracecourse and using the hashtag #PerthLadiesDay.

The winner will be chosen at 8pm that evening.

All the action from Perth’s 2021 Ladies Day is live on Racing UK. The first of seven races is at 2pm.
