Visitors to Canberra Centre are set to be bowled over as Kingpin opens its first venue in the ACT this weekend.

The venue, which will be on level one of the Civic shopping centre near Rebel Sport, will open on Saturday. It will feature eight bowling lanes, two escape rooms, pool tables plus a games room and bar.
It also includes a VIP room, which can become a karaoke room with its own bowling lanes attached.
It's the first Kingpin location to open in the ACT and the ninth to open nationally.
The announcement of the bowling chain coming to Canberra was made by the shopping centre in August.

It was originally expected to open in early 2020 but the launch will come just before Christmas.
It's estimated 80 new jobs have been created with the opening of the alley.
The official opening will include a visit from champion tennis table player Kane Townsend, who visitors can compete against for prizes.
The lanes will be officially opened by ACT Chief Minister Andrew Barr.
The opening starts from 11am on Saturday at Canberra Centre.
