Get positivity back and Tomori fit - Frank Lampard's to do list for Chelsea's clash at Spurs

Chelsea go into the match at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday with their biggest slump of form this season.

The Blues have lost four defeats in five Premier League matches, the latest coming with a 1-0 loss to Bournemouth at Stamford Bridge last weekend.

It's a different week for Frank Lampard and his Chelsea side, however, with the Blues not having a midweek match and a full week to prepare for the game.

And Lampard is keen to make sure that his players are full focused for the huge match with Jose Mourinho's side.

Champions League: Who did English clubs draw in the last 16?

"I’ve been in the dressing room playing after those games. I’ve been in the dressing room after those games and we end up winning the league or winning the Champions League," Lampard said after the defeat to Bournemouth.

"That’s normal, so I won’t draw a line between me and my staff and the players. I understand how they feel. I feel like it now.

"It won't be a hard week where I get them in training tomorrow morning and we watch a video for two hours. We’ve got a long week where they can go away a little bit and have time with their families and when we work, we work and focus on the Tottenham game.

"That’s what they do to be fair. I can’t find anyone wanting in terms with how we apply ourselves. But what we do on the pitch is the main thing and at the minute we have to understand that it’s not good enough."

So what would be on Lampard's to do list to get ready for the game.

A few days off

Since the international break, the Blues have had regular games on weekends and in midweek, which could have some reason for the poor run of form.

Lampard stated after the defeat at the weekend that he did not want to blame tiredness for the dip in form, but he also confirmed that he players would have a couple of days off.

With no Carabao Cup, it is a rare few days for the Blues to recharge the batteries and get the players fully ready for the match at the weekend.

Finishing, finishing, finishing

While people might look at Chelsea's defensive record and shudder, you can't escape the issue that is happening at the other end of the pitch.

In the Premier League, the Blues have had 292 shots, the second most in the league so far. However, they have scored just 31 times, which ranks them fifth.

It's something that Lampard has spoken about several times in recent weeks, and it is really starting to frustrate the Chelsea boss.

Tammy Abraham leads the way for the Blues with 11 league goals and he has had an excellent campaign to date.

But in recent games Lampard's side have looked rather toothless and that is going to be needed to sorted by the weekend.

Get Tomori fit

Another issue that still needs to be fixed is the defence, of course, and one player who has been missing in recent games has been Fikayo Tomori.

The defender put pen to paper on a five-year deal, however his hip injury means that the Blues have been missing a key man.

To have him back fit then it would give Lampard more options, if he wants him to be alongside Antonio Rudiger in the heart of defence.

Get the positivity back

One of the real problems for Lampard at the weekend was the amount of sideways passing from his players, rather than being positive.

Lampard stated that he wants his players to show 'more balls' in their bravery and when they are in possession.

In the defeat to the Cherries, it looked like the Blues were really short of confidence and not able to take that extra step forward.

Lampard will be keen to get the positivity back in his squad and try to get the bravery back in his side.
