'Get off me, I'm doing Strictly!' - Catherine Tyldesley shares cute video of son's Heaton Park 'pile-on'

Catherine Tyldesley enjoyed a day out with her family before making her dance debut on Strictly Come Dancing.

The former Coronation Street star visited the Treetop Manchester woodland adventure experience with her husband Tom Pitfield and their son Alfie - and she joking pleaded for mercy when things took a boisterous turn.

Cath has shared a hilarious video on Instagram which shows her being bounced up and down on a trampoline at the attraction in Heaton Park.

"Get off me, I'm doing Strictly," she shrieks.

"If I get injured," she warns, waving a finger at Tom who is holding the camera before laughing helplessly.

Alfie then playfully piles on top of his mum encouraged by personal trainer Tom.

"Alf, get your mum," he urges as Catherine screams "back off."

Cath, who played Eva Price in Corrie, shared the video with a message directed at her husband.

"Not funny @tompitfield7 .... livid," she said.

"Aw too funny," laughed one fan in response to the clip.

"Dignity lost," chuckled another.

Ahead of Strictly , which starts at 7.10pm on Saturday night on BBC One, Cath has joked that her level of dance ability is the same level as Mr Bean.

And she says her signature dance move is the 'Steps Tragedy hands.'

Cath, who left Corrie last summer, will also be back on our screens for the new BBC One comedy Scarborough by the creator of Benidorm Derren Litten, also starring comic Jason Manford.

It starts on Friday at 9.30pm.
