‘Get him now’ - Manchester United fans rave about Benjamin Sesko after goal defeats Liverpool FC

Manchester United are imploring their club to lure Benjamin Sesko to their club after the RB Salzburg striker netted the winner in a 1-0 friendly victory over Liverpool on Wednesday.

The 6ft 4in attacker fired home just after the half-hour mark and provided some neat link-up play throughout the match. The 19-year-old has been linked with a potential switch to United, with Erik ten Hag keen to bolster his attacking options.

This may become more of a priority if Cristiano Ronaldo gets his exit wish but United fans believe Sesko would be a good acquisition regardless of whether the superstar stays or leaves. The Slovenian netted ten goals last season and also provided seven assists.

He’s scored two goals in two matches this season with the Austrian campaign already underway. Reports suggest his club value Sesko at around £55m, and would not lower their price easily.

Fans on Twitter admitted that this figure does seem a little high, but that if United can somehow negotiate a lower fee, Ten Hag should make no hesitation in bringing in the teenager.

@lfetomiii: We can sign this youngster for £20m, he is better than Martial.

@incognito_bts_: Get him to the Theatre of Dreams right now.

@MikeBlazie: Go get that beast ASAP!

@ChrisSilveste14: Get this lad signed up ASAP regardless of whether Ronaldo stays or not.

@only1ayanfe: Sesko is so good, dude just bullying Liverpool’s midfield and defence. As tall as he is, he’s so strong and can dribble very well.

@IamJW101: Can someone phone United and tell them to spend that $$$ on this player. He is going to be a top top player.
