Get heated behind the wheel? These actions could see drivers handed a £1,000 fine

It's probably fair to say that all of us that drive have been guilty of getting a little bit angry behind the wheel.

This can be for a variety or reasons. From getting lost on your journey to nearly being taken out by a driver who wasn't concentrating - the list is endless.

But next time you're feeling irritated, you may want to avoid the following actions.

Motorists who make rude gestures at fellow road users face being hit with a £1,000 fine.

This is because of the Crime and Disorder Act.

The law currently states that both swearing and performing rude gestures is classed as 'disorderly behaviour' and police would be able to issue the punishment for "not being in full control of a vehicle" if they take their hand off the wheel.

As well as the fine, drivers could also be hit with three points on their licence.

The Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA) need to be informed about all kinds of illnesses from the most obvious such as epilepsy and heart conditions to eating disorders and even Déjà vu.
