Prolonging longevity requires adopting a healthy lifestyle. Becoming health conscious for many, however, is more often than not a struggle because there are way too many choices out there to choose from.

Narrowing the options for the public to better understand how to look after themselves is Central Pattana, which together with the National Innovation Agency, Muang Thai Life Assurance and Central Food Retail, will organise the "Healthy Living Fair" from today to Nov 21 at seven branches of CentralPlaza and CentralFestival.
The venues and dates for the event are CentralFestival East Ville from Sept 4-10, CentralPlaza Chaengwattana from Sept 13-23, CentralPlaza Pinklao from Oct 2-8, CentralPlaza Lardprao from Oct 18-24 and Central Plaza Rama III from Nov 15-21.
The event is being billed as the ultimate innovation of healthy food from start-ups nationwide under the theme "Innovation For The Health Of Everyone In The Family".
Still not sold on why to attend? Well, let me share some interesting facts. First, there will be all sorts of innovative products geared towards the health conscious, in addition to health-related gadgets -- technology created and invented to improve the life of both young and old. Also being sold in booths will be ready-to-eat nutrition-filled food products and stuff to take home such as healthy seasoning products, food supplements and more.
Highlights include an exhibition of innovative products for the elderly where you can meet "Dinsow" (a mini senior-care robot) and Prima laser, a hair loss therapy cap and many more eyebrow-raising innovations. Also in attendance will be healthcare experts to offer advice on how to lead a healthy lifestyle that covers diet, lifestyle and sleeping pattern. There will also be free medical check-ups available by leading hospitals.
The event is divided into four zones. Starting from Health Foods & Supplements, which will include food innovations such as organic rice milk, grainey brown rice snacks, almond biscuits with less sugar and salt and organic coconut yoghurt, puddings with five groups of nutrients, turmeric drinks, multigrain cereals, and much more.
Here you also get food supplements and herbs for all elements and conditions from top brands.
At the "Health Guru" zone, you will be introduced to self-care tips from health experts Thaksapon "Kob" Thongdee, who will educate the audience on how to achieve healthy sleeping habits to feel fresh the next day. Another topic of discussion will be "Is Snoring Really Dangerous?".
Dr Parit Wongphaet, who will only be in attendance at the Lat Phrao and Rama III branches, will speak on the topics "Rehabilitation For Haemiplegia: Paralysis Of One Side Of The Body" and the "No Fall Programme" that helps with the prevention of falling in the elderly by up to 90%.
Zone 3 will have health check-ups by Thainakarin Hospital and Praram 9 Hospital.
Zone 4 is where all the health related exhibits will be displayed. Not to be missed is Dinsow, the mini elderly-care robot, a modular walking analysis device, an anti-snoring appliance, a vacuum robot, a bathroom-cleaning robot and more.
