Get Down's family-friendly rolladisco is skating into Newcastle for the first time

Fancy a family outing that's a little bit different? Why not strap some skates on and head to a rolladisco?

Get Down Rolladisco is returning to Newcastle, after a year away.

If you haven't guessed, a rolladisco is a disco, but instead of wearing shoes, party-goers strap on roller skates and take to the rink.

This year - for the first time - Get Down is opening up to families with children , with a special afternoon all-ages rollladisco, suitable for skaters of all abilities.

Get Down's Rolladisco is taking over Northumbria University's Domain venue on Saturday, May 11.

An An adults only roller disco is coming to Newcastle - get your skates on! , but tickets remain on sale for the all-ages sessions throughout the afternoon.

The daytime, family friendly Rolladisco is split into three slots: 12-2pm, 2-4pm and 4-6pm.

Tickets cost £7 for kids and £9 per adult, with free skate hire.

Stewards will be on-hand to help inexperienced skaters, with face painting, garden games and a tuck shop available too.
