'Get a reaction' - Cheltenham Town boss Michael Duff issues warning ahead of Bolton Wanderers

Michael Duff has warned his Cheltenham Town players they must show a reaction ahead of facing a 'very good' Bolton Wanderers side following their loss to Lincoln City.

The Robins joined Wanderers in League One this campaign after achieving automatic promotion last campaign out of the fourth tier of English football.

Both sides are poised for a mid-table finish in their first campaign back in League One, with Wanderers aiming for a top 10 place and the West Country side just outside the top half.

Wanderers are six games unbeaten as the season draws to a conclusion and have their penultimate clash of the season and final away day of the campaign when they travel to Gloucestershire next Saturday for a 3pm kick-off.

Cheltenham go into the encounter on the back of a 3-0 loss on the road to Lincoln City last time out.

Morgan Whittaker scored twice and Anthony Scully also found the back of the net as the Imps blew the visitors away in the first 20 minutes of the encounter.

Duff says his side knows their showing against the Imps was not acceptable and warned they must show a reaction when they take on a 'very good team' in the form of Wanderers.

Duff told GloucestershireLive : "We are 13 th in the league. I don’t know how we are still 13 th , but we are.

"You have to be careful of overreacting because we’ve said they’ve been great for the last couple of weeks because they’ve deserved it. There is an honesty within the group and they know that’s not acceptable.

"They are playing a very good team next week in Bolton and Cambridge are having a brilliant season, similar to ourselves.

"We’ll try and get them together and get a reaction out of them, whatever team plays."
