Get a first look inside the new breakfast stop off for Glasgow to Edinburgh commuters

A new breakfast, brunch and lunch spot on the outskirts of Glasgow has opened its doors - and it could be the perfect spot for inter-city commuters.

If you've ever sat in traffic on the motorway, wishing all manner of ills upon your fellow drivers while at the same time pleading with stationary cars to ‘just move’, the new Regis Coffee Bar and Bistro could become your sanctuary.

Situated within Maxim Business Park, just next to Eurocentral on the M8 motorway, the new venue opens at 7.30am and serves food and drink until 3pm.

Located just 20 minutes from Glasgow and 40 from Edinburgh, it can be seen from the M8 but can also be accessed via the M73 or M74.

Regis is the latest eatery to open at the business park, which is home to over 3,000 workers and recently welcomed Glasgow sandwich shop, Piece, to the site.

The new eatery offers all-day full breakfasts as well as rolls, porridge, granola and 'eggs your way'.

It also includes lunch options like haggis burgers, soup and bruschetta while sweet options include crepes, waffles and home bakes.

Regis owner, Julie MacLean said: "We’d love to hear what people think and welcome all comments, whether they are good, bad but hopefully constructive!

“We have really enjoyed the first few days and have been desperate to get in and get started. The park’s owners have been so encouraging and supportive and have some very exciting plans. It’s great to be a part of that.”
