Gerry Cinnamon has released new music, and it's the news we all needed

The popular Scottish singer-songwriter Gerry Cinnamon has followed up Scotland's win against Serbia last night with more good news.

Gerry Cinammon, real name Gerard Crosbie, has released a new “definitive” version of his second album 'The Bonny' - and it includes a brand new single.

You can download the digital version of the album from today, with the new double LP release due 11 December - just in time for Christmas.

The Bonny was originally released on 17 April. Despite the lockdown potentially affecting physical sales, he said, "It's probably not smart to release during a lockdown when the shops are closed and everyone's isolating but no chance I'm letting folk down. Never gave a f*ck about numbers anyway not gny start now."

'Ghosts', the new single included on the album, joins popular hits from The Bonny including Canter and and long-awaited new recordings of tracks ‘Kampfire Vampire’ and ‘Fickle McSelfish'.

The Bonny is already the third biggest selling UK album released in 2020 and the Definitive version also includes new recordings of two fan favourites.

“Been waiting a long time to get those tunes back,” explains Gerry, “Should have been on the first album but that's what happens when you trust the wrong people.”

He added: “Ghost was written around the same time as Kampfire Vampire, Fickle McSelfish, and Roll the Credits so it’s good to have them all on the same record.”

Despite selling over 200,000 tickets for a tour after The Bonny debuted at number one on the UK Album Chart, Gerry was forced to cancel after the coronavirus crisis.
