Timo Werner is fully fit to play for Germany in tonight's Nations League game against Switzerland in Cologne, head coach Joachim Low has said.
The Chelsea forward missed last week's friendly against Turkey and only appeared off the bench in the 2-1 win against Ukraine on Saturday evening because of flu but he has now fully recovered.
Werner tested negative for coronavirus but as a precaution joined up with Die Mannschaft a couple of days later than the rest of his team-mates.
"Timo Werner is back to full strength and there are no weaknesses,” Low said in his pre-match press conference.
“He is available. But we have small question marks. [Julian] Draxler has achilles problems, [Marcel] Halstenberg is dealing with adductors and [Lukas] Klostermann has knee problems.”
Fellow Chelsea players Toni Rudiger and Kai Havertz are also likely to be involved against the Swiss with Germany chasing a second win in Section A, Group 4.
Rudiger has done well in the past two games despite not featuring for Chelsea this season.Frank Lampard has relegated the 27-year-old to fifth-choice centre back and attempts to seal a loan move before last week's transfer deadline failed.
He is determined to fight for his place in the squad but will revisit his situation when the January transfer window opens.
Elsewhere, Kepa Arrizabalaga is likely to be on the bench as Spain travel to Ukraine. Spain lead Group 4 with seven points, two clear of Germany, with Ukraine on three and Switzerland bottom on one point.
