Police arrested a German man for stealing cash from a spa in Phuket after he revisited the business to return the money.
The visitor was arrested at the spa on Ranong Road on Wednesday night. He had gone there to apologise for the crime and return 2,000 baht in cash and two pairs of slippers stolen the day before.
Spa staff rejected the return of the stolen cash and slippers and called police instead.
The 25-year-old German man cried and told police that he and his friends had committed the crime out of boldness.
Police said that on Tuesday spa staff complained that a foreign client had stolen the cash from a drawer when the cashier was away. The crime was caught by CCTV at the spa.
